Mrs. Bibi Husni Khan: An Eye Witness of more than 80 Years Societal and Regional Development

This interview in Wakhi I had conducted on January 1, 2022 in Gilgit. The main purpose was to capture some important life events , accounts and experiences of my mother Huzur Mukhyani Bibi Husni Khan of Gulmit, Northern Pakistan.
Mrs. Bibi Husni Khan daughter of Muhammad Siyyab Khan and wife of late Hakeem Zafarullah Beg, A senior citizen from Hunza, Gilgit-Baltistan Region, is at present 85 years old in January 2024. She has been a community leader especially has led voluntarily Gulmit Women Organization as its President from 1984 to 2010 when the Aga Khan Rural Support Program had initiated such wonderful social mobilization forums of the community for the effective rural development at the grassroots level.
I hope the related stakeholders would like and appreciate the strong determination, confidence and sober approach of Mrs. Bibi Husni Khan during her life time on different challenging occasions , especially at such juncture of historical development of the region when she was trusted and given leadership role to run the Women Organization Gulmit (Center) fostered by Aga Khan Rural Support Program.
